Beloved eternal melodies played in a piano duo.
A long-awaited collection of Jobim's masterpieces. Sadao Watanabe guests on three tracks.
● Lisa Ono, who leads Japan's Brazilian music scene with her unique warm and refreshing voice. In recent years, she has gained significant popularity not only in Japan but also in other parts of Asia.
● Her new album, the first in six and a half years, is recorded as a duo with pianist Masaki Hayashi, who also co-produced the album. The theme is the songbook of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the pioneer of Bossa Nova, who will celebrate his 100th birthday in January 2027 (this is Lisa Ono's first Jobim collection in 19 years).
● Through the intimate and improvisational sound of a "duo," where you can almost hear each other's breaths, this work presents Jobim's masterpieces in a fresh light.
● Sadao Watanabe, the saxophonist who introduced Bossa Nova to Japan in the 1960s, guests on three tracks. This commemorative first recording collaboration between him and Lisa Ono, whom she first met in Sao Paulo, Brazil, when she was nine years old, and whom she met again backstage at the festival "Tsukiji Jam 2025" in April 2025, can be called a monumental collaboration in the history of Japanese Bossa Nova.
● The liner notes were written by author Haruki Murakami.
